We congratulate Capcom for 15 years of amazing Ace Attorney games, and wish them the best of success for future installments. Throughout the years, this series has been loved by many loyal fans.
As for those fans, keep a watch out… we’ve been working hard! Here’s a small taste of our progress so far (WARNING - Possible spoilers for Case 1).
We’ve put together a website where you can find up-to-date news about our projects and general announcements. You’ll be able to find information about

I’m the leader of Team If’s third Division. Or, as it is more publically known, the Dai Gyakuten Saiban fan translation team. Our members are working hard and well, and I’m sure you are all as grateful of that as I am. However, we won’t lie to you. Progress is rather slow.
The reason for this is that we are fairly low in numbers. Therefore, as a group we have decided to begin open recruitment to our team. There are few requirements that will allow you to become eligible to become accepted into our team. First, English is required. In fact, if you are applying as an proofreader, you will be briefly tested on your knowledge of the English language. Japanese, however, is not required, unless you are applying to be a translator. We have a lot of the game translated already. If you do happen to speak Japanese as well as English, it would be extremely helpful for us to translate the rest of the game.
Also, a Gmail and Discord account are required for security and communication purposes. Next, please put forward effort and work hard. We know that life sometimes takes its toll, so if you are unable to handle a workload, we will understand. But, do refrain from being lazy or uncooperative. The final requirement is to have respect and responsibility among all members.
Here are the wanted roles, in order of importance:
Coder/Programmer - We need someone to program new tools for us to use
Editor - Someone who edits the in-game text to English
Proofreader - Makes sure the text is readable
Reverse Engineer (knowledge of Assembly language required) - To figure technical things like pointers
Now, you’re probably wonder… “wowie-zowie, this is so much to take in!111!!!one”. There’s nothing to fear, kids. We have the solution for you. Just follow these super-duper easy-to-follow steps and you’ll be on your way!
Things you’ll need;
Ninjhax, Menuhax, Browserhax, or some other type of Homebrew access point.
Right here, you’ll need this in order to get your romfs file to patch/modify.
Romfs Extractor/Encrypter.
There’ll be a direct link to these in the description.
First and foremost, you’ll want to drag the contents of the Homebrew Launcher kit to the root of your (micro) SD card. Make sure you have two folders labelled “hans” and “3ds”. Yuppers, you guessed it, they have to be lowercased.
Insert helpful image, here.
Once you have all of the necessary files placed at the root of your SD card, you may proceed to set up the Homebrew access point of your choice. As of present, you may use Cubic Ninja or OoThax on latest firmware. At least Ocarina of Time got re-released as a Nintendo Classic and is available at various retailers for 19.99 USD, right? H-Haha, anyways, you should be able to find the necessary steps to set-up those entrypoints at the website you got your Homebrew Launcher kit. Don’t forget to place the Braindump files into the 3ds folder, those are very important and necessary for this operation.
This is Thedude28’s (kinda) extensive guide to patching Fire Emblem Fates/If v2. My extensive guide will show you how to patch the game. It is mainly for CFW users. Prepare yourself, because this guide assumes that you don’t have an idea on what you need to do.
You will need:
A 3DS that you’re willing to hack/get homebrew for
Homebrew
Shadowtrance’s Decrypt9 (for homebrew)
Gateway Launcher (for homebrew)
Python 2.7 (the latest version, not 2.7.0)
(Recommended but not required) An SD card with a size of 8gb or larger
Retail version of the game (doesn’t matter which version)
Part 1: Checking your 3DS firmware and getting Homebrew
This can be done by going to system settings and checking your firmware version. If you don’t want to read and use a flowchart instead, here’s a link to it: http://imgh.us/3DSHex.svg.
If your 3DS is on the latest firmware (10.7.0) as of the time of writing (3/27/2016)
You can temporarily patch the game via HANS, or you can downgrade to 9.2 and get CFW to apply a permanent patch. You can access all online functions within the game, and you can get DLC if your 3DS is the same region as the game’s region. Your options for homebrew are limited to:
Ninjhax
OoTHax (with or without a powersave)
SmashHax (only on N3DS)
If your 3DS is on firmware less than 10.7.0
You can temporarily patch the game via HANS, or you can downgrade to 9.2 and get CFW to apply a permanent patch. If you choose to patch the game via HANS, you may not be able to access the eShop to get DLC because you are not on the latest firmware.
If you are on firmware 10.6.0, your options for homebrew are:
